Future of the repository. At openSUSE project level, we still have 13.1, 13.2, 42.1 and 42.2 that are mostly active. 13.1 is already almost out of the game of evergreen, 13.2 will follow soon, and I don’t know yet the exact plan for 42.1, but it will certainly go out of maintenance in less than a year.
.AboutopenSUSE is an open, free and secure operating system for PC, laptops, servers and ARM devices. Managing your emails, browsing the web, watching online streams, playing games, serving websites or doing office work never felt this empowering. And best part? It's not only backed by one of the leaders in open source industry, but also driven by lively community.
I tried copy pasting some commands with xrandr and it shows right now I have 1024x768, I'm not a tech dunmy but kinda new to Linux and haven't encountered this problem before.I looked in Yast, too, but couldn't find any setting. I think I'm making things too complicated, something as simple as screen resolution should only take a few mouse clicks or keystrokes. If anyone could give me a heads up I'd really appreciate it:)I use an HDMI cable from gtx 1060 to monitorEDIT2//: I fixed it. I followed, but it actually didn't install the nvidia drivers for me. So I went into Yast-Software Management-Searched for NVIDIA - deselected/deleted everything with 'nouveau' except for 'libdrmnouveau2' becaues it gave me compatability warnings and I really didn't wanna mess things up. Then I selected the newest version of all other packages listed there 'nvidia-computeG04', 'nvidia-gfxG04-kmp-default', 'nvidia-glG04', 'x11-video-nvidiaG04'. Then I think I hit Extras - Install all matching recommended packages, rebooted and it came up with 1920x1080.hwinfo -gfxnvidiadrm is activenvidia is activexrandr:Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 32767 x 32767DVI-D-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)HDMI-0 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0Thank you all!P.S.: I was quite positively suprised about how helpful/responsive people are here.
